Las Alpujarras in the Sierra Nevada

The region of mountain villages known as Las Alpujarras clings to the southern flanks of the Sierra Nevada, cloven by deep sheltered valleys and gorges which run down towards the Mediterranean.

The Alpujarra, as it is popularly known, in the singular, is famous throughout Spain because of its unique mini-ecology. Its terraced farmlands are constantly watered by the melting snow from above, constituting a high-altitude oasis of greenery which stands in dramatic contrast to the arid foothills below. This is ideal hiking terrain for adventurous travellers, provided you take along a tent and well-padded sleeping bags – the average altitude is 4,000 feet above sea level.

GPS Alpujarras Motorbike Tour

After your arrivel at the airport of Malaga we will arrange the transport to our office in Torremolnos  where your bikes you ordered are already waiting for you.  After explaining the bikes, your first ride can start with our route to Polopos, a smale white villages in the Alpujarras. This is the base where you will stay for three overnights. The route we have set out goes through the Montes de Malaga to the low Alpujarra in the Sierra Nevada. In the afternoon you will arrive at your destination in Polopos. In Polopos, the Rutten family knows you are coming and will welcome you to settle in for the next three nights. On the entrance of the village there is a good restaurant “La primara Sonrisa”  for your diner and drinks. The next morning after your breakfast your will have 2 different and exciting motorbike tours from this village into the Alpujarra and the only dessert in Europe on the program.

Route Alpujarras

This tour goes to the south side of the Sierra Nevada and Alpujarras where you will discover and experience today the smaller roads that lie on this mountain and nature reserve. We bet you will be surprised along the way with the many beautiful panoramas, the typical Arab villages that characterize this area. A true motorcycle paradise to drive through. A route where many roads with new or perfect asphalt, countless winding winding roads that guarantee you a wonderful day on the motorcycle. Truly a tour for the more experienced motorbike rider.

Route Desert Tabernas

The only desert in Europe is a coincidence in the south of Spain, in this natural park Tabernas more than 250 films were shot in the 1960s and 70s, the most famous of which were the famous classic “Once upon a time”. Many decors are scattered throughout this area and there are two commercial parks where outside the decors a great show is given in which you can participate. You will notice how varied nature can be in the south of Spain Andalusia. Fast roads, slower parts with a lot of curves on beautiful steering roads with as a common denominator beautiful panoramas and nature parks, culminating with a visit to Fort Bravo in the desert Tabernas.
