Guadalupe in Spain is located in the east of the Extremadura region, the mountain village is at an altitude of 640 meters in the Sierra de Guadalupe, one of the foothills of the Montes de Toledo.
According to legend, a shepherd found a statue of the Virgin Mary, a black madonna by the river Guadalupe at the end of the thirteenth century.
