Description region
Requena is a historic town about 70 kilometers inland from Valencia. The city is located between the sea and the Spanish central plateau. Thanks to its location and many vineyards, Requena is a unique place and certainly worth a visit.
CUEVAS DE LA VILLA DE REQUENA
Located deep below the old town of Requena are many caves. These caves date from the Arab era. In the past, the caves were used as houses, shelters and buildings. Nowadays it is possible to visit this underground labyrinth. The caves still contain works of art and pots from the Middle Ages. You can visit the caves with a guide.
