It is good to stay in the special valley of the Alpujarras, where you will find green hills and white towns in a barren and dry Sierra Nevada. The villages in Alpujarras are quite touristy, but the farther you drive into the valley, the nicer and calmer it becomes. You will drive all the way to Trevelez, a beautiful mountain village at an altitude of 1500 meters. The villages that lie in this mountain valley of the Sierra Nevada all have their own character and beauties and reasons for visiting. Hand-woven carpets and ceramic handicrafts are mainly made. A very authentic area, worth a visit
Did you know that we have a real desert in Western Europe? A whimsical, dry, rocky landscape where several Hollywood westerns have been recorded? But what an impressive and beautiful environment to drive through it on a cool place! . And a visit to this special landscape is definitely worth it. And the famous Velefique mountain pass where many motorcyclists will make their hearts beat faster.
With its 2154,300 hectares, the Sierras de Cazorla nature reserve is one of the largest nature reserves in Spain. The protected area was closed to the public and used as a private hunting ground in Franco's time. You will experience for yourself how great this park is to drive through it with a motorcycle, hours of cornering without significant traffic with beautiful panoramas and nature on roads with excellent asphalt on which the motorcycle will feel at home. At the end of the park you cross a ridge to look out over a valley with countless olive trees. All in all, a wonderful day on the motorcycle that I can assure you.
Last year we drove our bikes ourselves this route, and of all the drivers it was unanimous opinion that this was the most beautiful route of this Experiencetour. So I am curious how you will experience this day. At the departure of Cazorla the route passes via the northern border of the Andalusia region to the Castilla de la Mancha region and we arrive in the Sierra Andujar. First nice fast main roads over the valleys of this region but when the Sierra de Andujar arrives the fun starts, not always the perfect asphalt but a great environment where you can really get the fealing that your are alone on this world because this road is no longer used as a connecting road.
Today you return to our base place in the Málaga region, today's route distinguishes itself by the alternation of roads and its surroundings with its nature. The route starts to traverse the many olive tree fields rich in Andalusia and is interspersed with small nature parks such as the Sierra de Subbéticas where the curves and steering are once again at hand. Via the town of Rute you will arrive in Iznajar and then through the Montes de Malaga to arrive again at our base in Torremolinos.
